Dr. Kurt Hochenauer: Okie Funk

Dr. Kurt Hochenauer was an interesting speaker.  He taught me a lot about blogging and writing as well.

Maybe the thing he said that most applies to me  is finding a niche.  I say that because I feel as if I have found a niche but I want to narrow it down.  Sports is an awfully broad niche to have so I would maybe like to find a certain sport and start a blog on that specifically.

As a writer his tips on writing were important to me also.  First off, he said when it comes to a blog that writing is number one.  His tips will help my writing become better.  Firstly, he aid to just keep on writing.  The more that we write the better will become.  Also, If we discover something bad that we wrote we should not beat ourselves up over it.  Occasionally we all might something bad but we need to just move on.

Finally, and maybe the most important tip for writing is to let somebody else read our things.  Sometimes, other people notice mistakes that we don't.  This can make the editing process much easier and make for a better post or story.
